Marmaris is seated along the western part of Turkey’s southern coast along the beautiful Aegean sea in an area known as Datca. Marmaris is fine located in a sheltered gulf called the Bay of Marmaris. Marmaris has, in just a few decades become one of Turkey’s most popular destinations.Today, the city is one of Turkey’s most successful tourist resorts.Once you visit it, you will understand why. It is the beautiful nature and long sandy beaches that have made Marmaris so popular resort.Marmaris location at Lycian coast gives opportunity to explore different places along lucrative beachfront promenade that runs alongside the dark volcanic sand of Uzan Yali beach. Marmaris is famous for its top nightlife spots and are among the prime yachting and boating centers of Turkey. Marmaris harbour is considered one of the finest in Turkey. In the colorful marina, you can see the old wooden boats, but also real luxury yachts. This is a place where boat interested like to visit, again and again.
If you like water sports, this place offers plenty of opportunities to try some water sports including jet skiing, diving and snorkeling. There is indeed much to do in Marmaris and a vacation here is appropriate for the whole family. You can exercise water sports, go to see the Atlantis Water Park, explore streets filled with shops and bars along with attractive old structure or enjoy a relaxing Turkish bath in the hammam. If you like shopping Marmaris is the right place to be, Maramis picturesque town center is full of small shops where you can bargain leather, ceramics, jewelry and carpets.
Beautiful coastline, friendly people, good fresh foods and delicious local wines. All this means that Marmaris is top on my list of best resorts in Turkey.
